Professor Dr Mohd Salleh Aman is a PhD holder in Leisure Studies focusing in the area of sport and physical recreation management, from Lincoln University New Zealand. The research field under Prof Dr. Mohd Salleh’s postgraduate supervision includes leisure, recreation, sport management, sport education, sport tourism, safety in sport, sport history, sport media and coaching management. He is an active researcher, consistently involved in international conference and published writing works in the form of abstracts, proceedings, modules and text books. Prof. Dr. Mohd Salleh who is an expert in sport and recreation management has been recognized by several universities which appointed him as consultant, advisor, external examiner and visiting professor for their sports science program. He designated as the principal investigator for several research projects with Institute of Youth Research, Ministry of Youth and Sport Malaysia (IYRES), UMRG; Having research projects with Sport Section, Ministry of Higher Education; Malay Excellent Research Centre; FELCRA FC and working research collaborators from Indonesia, Singapore, UK, China and Japan.

RESEARCH
Selina Khoo is an associate professor at the Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences. Her research is related to participation of sports and physical activity for various populations, including older adults, persons with disabilities, women, and cancer survivors. This includes determining prevalence of physical activity, motives for participation, and interventions to increase physical activity. She also examines various aspects of disability sport, including accessibility, barriers and facilitators to participation, and media coverage.
Selina has served on international committees including the Commonwealth Advisory Body on Sport and the Development Committee of the Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled Federation. Selina is currently the country contact for Malaysia on the Global Observatory for Physical Activity and Vice President of the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise. At the national level, she is a member of the Women and Sports Committee, Olympic Council of Malaysia; Legal, Discipline and Ethics Committee, Paralympic Committee of Malaysia; and the Ministry of Health National Strategic Plan for Active Living. She is also a National Course Director for the Olympic Council of Malaysia and facilitates Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators courses. She has been invited to present her research at national and international conferences, including the International Forum on Children with Special Needs, IOC World Sport for All Congress, and Global Summit on the Physical Activity of Children.
Currently, she serves as an editorial board member for the Asian Journal of Sport and Exercise and review editor for the Movement Science and Sport Psychology section in Frontiers. She is also a guest associate editor in Digital Public Health for Frontiers in Public Health.

RESEARCH
Ashril graduated in Bachelor of Science and Medical from St Andrews University, Scotland (1992), and Masters in Sport and Exercise Science (Health Science) from Essex University, England (1997). He then pursued a PhD in Sports Science (Biochemistry and Physiology) at the University of Essex in 2003. His PhD research was on exercise-induced oxidative stress in erythrocytes. He is currently a senior member of academic staff at the Sports Centre (Exercise Science Unit), University of Malaya. Ashril was a member of National Sports Medicine Institute (UK) from 1996-2006. He is now an active member of Malaysian Association of Sports Medicine (2015 - ) and Malaysian Strength and Conditioning Association (2016 -).
He has a broad range of research interests in exercise and sport science as well as clinical studies. Ashril’s research interests primarily focus on metabolic changes and biochemical events under severe endurance exercise. Regulation of circulatory oxidative enzymes and senescence of erythrocytes during prolonged exercise are of special interest, with scope to manipulate protective effects through provision of natural supplements and blood concentrates. Current research areas involved includes association of nutrition, appetite regulation and neuromuscular fatigue, skeletal muscle damage and healing, natural products and performance, and soccer or football related studies. Dr Ashril is also currently engaged in clinical studies involving laser therapy on osteoarthritis patients, obesity and postural abnormalities amongst school children.

Rizal’s primary focus is in on technical performance enhancement of various sport skills. Current research include studying the reliability of the taekwondo scoring system, designing an apparatus to help the visually impaired exercise and; looking at the effects of leg length discrepancies on gait. He has also done work related in anthropometry and talent identification. Moreover, Rizal has a particularly keen interest in investigating and finding solutions for applied problems in an array of different fields.

RESEARCH
Sareena teaches and researches within the area of Sports Nutrition, Nutrition for Health and Fitness, and Biochemistry of Exercise. Her research interests include the association of natural products with biochemical, metabolic and physiological responses to exercise, focusing on antioxidant activities, oxidative stress, hormonal responses, substrates oxidation and physical performance. Her research also involves the influence of quality and quantity of diets on exercise energy metabolism and performance, as well as on appetite regulation and body weight management. Her research work has been published in various journals and presented at local and international conferences. She also involves in research projects on the exercise intervention program for fitness and mental health during the Covid19 pandemic, the classification of body shape
using 3D body scanning technology in athletes and the development of web-based and mobile application for health, fitness and sports performance. Dr Sareena is one of the Executive Committee members of the Asian Nutrition Society for Sports and Health (ANSSH).

Eliza’s main area of research is musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation. During her PhD, she has developed a method to measure the amount of rotation in the femur using real-time ultrasound.
To date, she has done research in low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, musculoskeletal disorder, breaking sitting time and velocity-based training.
She is also interested in research involving musculoskeletal disorder in children and adolescents.
In addition, Eliza is also interested in research involving fitness as she herself is a fitness instructor. She currently is supervising a PhD

Dr. Maryam holds a Ph.D. degree in Sports Biomechanics with distinguished honours, a Master’s degree in Sport Science (Sport Physiology) (Hons) and a Bachelor’s degree in physical education and Sports Science. She is currently working as a senior lecturer at Centre for sport and exercise sciences, Universiti Malaya. Dr. Maryam’s research activity has primarily focused on human motion analysis and clinical biomechanics with special emphasis on gait analysis of individuals with/without lower limb injuries through using multidimensional model development in which all affected gait parameters are taken to account considering their possible inter-correlation. She is currently working in a research project in which the effects of Yoga vs. Pilates training are studied on prolactin and cortisol serum levels, psychological, and physical indicators of female patients with multiple sclerosis. Concurrently she is involved in a project investigating the correlation between anthropometric, body composition and swimming performance of children with autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Maryam is also interested in other related projects investigating clinical biomechanics of musculoskeletal conditions, balance and lower limb symmetry of different populations including osteoarthritis patients, elderly people at risk of falling and those before and after knee surgery during rehabilitation or participation in modified sport exercises. At this stage of her academic career, Dr. Maryam is looking to develop her scientific competency by continuing working in a multidisciplinary environment and to expand her research area

Dr. Nor Eeza Zainal Abidin is a sports management lecturer at the Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, Universiti Malaya. Her background is in accounting, public management and sports management and she has more than 12 years working experience in sports services across several private companies and public universities in Malaysia. Her research interests are related to sports facilities including accessibility for persons with disabilities. She recently involved with research of autistic swimmers and physical fitness. The main goal of these projects is to promote disability sport awareness through actively encouraging and publishing. She hoped that these will improve participation and achievements of more disabled athletes in Malaysia.

RESEARCH
Victor S Selvanayagam completed his degree in Sports Science and Master’s in Medical Science at the University of Malaya (UM). He received his PhD from The University of Queensland in the area of Neuroscience where he focused on identifying early neural responses to strength training. Victor, who is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist (CSCS), is currently a Senior Lecturer and was the Deputy Director (Research and Development) with the Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya. He played a pivotal role in developing the first Master of Strength and Conditioning Program in Malaysia. His main research focuses on the contribution of the nervous system to strength by incorporating well-explored motor learning paradigms to strength training. He also plays a consultative role in the area of exercise physiology and exercise testing and prescription. Ultimately, Victor is keen to explore and share his expertise pertaining to the science and fundamentals of human movement, so that movements can be safe, effective and efficient.

Dr. Young-Eun Noh received her Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Chosun University and Master’s degree in Physical Education (Sport Psychology) at Chonnam National University. She completed her PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Victoria University, Australia. Dr. Noh was awarded the Commonwealth Government International Postgraduate Research Scholoarship (IPRS) at Victoria University. She is currently a senior lecturer in the Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya. Her current research interests include religion in sport, cross-cultural research, the prevention of sport injury, and designing intervention programs to enhance sport performance.
